Supporting Corby
With our business having premises in Corby it is very important for us to be able to give something back to help the community. It also enables us to know what is happening in the area by being involved. We have been giving our time since 2016 and currently supporting two important projects.

Love Corby
We are privileged to be part of the marketing team alongside many other local business men and women to help promote everything that is great in Corby and the surrounding areas. Established circa 2013 Love Corby was set up by Corby Borough Council with the aim of using a website portal to promote tourism. Overtime it was soon very apparent that it needed to offer more than just tourism and become a hub for people to find local services from retail, business and education. Initially funded by the council it is now fully sufficient and has been set up as a social enterprise. Our time on this project is spent having a monthly marketing meeting with the rest of the team (also providing their time FOC) to look at ways to continue to grow and promote the area. Love Corby is funded via yearly memberships, networking events and grants. We are very passionate about supporting this project and actively looking for local businesses to join and make use of the very low cost membership. Visit to find out more.

Corby Towns Fund
In 2019 the government identified in the region of 100 towns to apply for funding to help with improving town centres. Corby was chosen as one of these town and early 2020 a Corby Towns Deal Board was set up to apply for this potential funding. The board consists of various businesses, community groups located around Corby along with other government bodies.

S.C. Agency were invited to attend and become a board member due to the involvement with Love Corby. Lorna Dodge represented the company and at the first board meeting was nominated as Chair for this project. The first face to face meeting was just before covid hit and the rest of the board meetings followed using Google Teams. As Chair Lorna became engrained in this project and devoted her time not only for the board meetings, but other meetings to help with putting in a bid to secure funding.

Fast forward to June 2021 and we were incredibly proud to have found out that all the work invested by the board and supporting teams resulted in North Northamptonshire Council be awarded £19.9m to be invested in four projects that had been put forward in Corby’s Town Investment Plan. These four projects were identified to encourage economic growth in the local area and consisted of:

  • Sixth Form College at Chisholm House
  • Multi-use Building
  • Corby Station Links
  • Smart and Connected Corby

You can find out more about all of these projects via the dedicated website:

Lorna continues to chair the board as these projects are rolled out. Very exciting times ahead and humbled that we have been able to be part of this team to support the community and businesses of Corby.
